Update: Eva’s Surgery and Placement Secured

We have incredible news to share! Thanks to an extraordinary partnership with One of a Kind Pet Rescue, Eva has secured the lifeline she so desperately needed.

One of a Kind Pet Rescue is taking over Eva’s veterinary care to perform her diaphragmatic hernia repair and will be facilitating her transition into a loving, permanent home.

Because of their generous commitment, Eva is getting her second chance at a full, healthy life without delay.

Eva’s Journey

Eva is a resilient 1-year-old cat whose life took an unexpected turn during a routine spay when she suddenly stopped breathing. Thanks to the fast, heroic actions of the team at The Great Life veterinary clinic, she was stabilized and diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia—a tear separating her chest from her abdomen.

While the specialized repair was a daunting mountain to climb, our rescue community rallied, and One of a Kind Pet Rescue stepped forward to make her surgery and adoption possible.
