Eva’s Surgery: Securing a Healthy, Long Life

One surgery will give this resilient 1-year-old a completely normal future.

Eva is a beautiful 1-year-old rescue who behaves just like any other happy cat—eating, playing, and seeking affection with total joy. However, her life took a terrifying turn during a routine spay when she suddenly stopped breathing. Thanks to the quick thinking and heroic efforts of the team at The Great Life veterinary clinic she was stabilized and eventually diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia.

The Journey to Recovery
A diaphragmatic hernia is a tear in the muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen. This condition is what caused her to stop breathing, as her internal organs can shift and put pressure on her lungs.
The Prognosis: Once Eva receives a specialized surgery to repair the tear, she is expected to live a normal, long, and healthy life.
The Cost: This life-saving operation is complex and will cost approximately $5,000.00.
The Fundraiser: We are currently raising funds to reach this goal so Eva can get the care she deserves as soon as possible.

How You Can Help
We are looking for a miracle to secure Eva’s future. You can help in two vital ways:
Donate: Every contribution to our fundraiser goes directly toward Eva's $5,000 surgery and her recovery.
The Dream Adopter: Ideally, we would love to find a veterinary professional who would like to adopt Eva and perform the surgery themselves. If she is adopted by a professional who performs the operation, any proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly into the organization for future medical care for our other rescues.
